Veneto Restaurant is one of the few authentic Italian restaurants in Chania. It is located at one of the most popular streets of the town, in a Venetian building of the 15th century.
The noble and romantic atmosphere of Veneto, in combination to the unique dishes, place the restaurant among the bests of its kind.

LA NOSTRA STORIA
Inizialmente il punto fu concepito come una grande “pompa irrigatrice” che pompava l’acqua dal pozzo adiacente alle coltivazioni agricole che si estendevano fino al ” fiume Tusa“. I primi anni della sua vita fu concepito come semplice chiosco che dispensava bibite ghiacciate, gelati e panini ai turisti che risalivano dal mare di castel di Tusa.
Col passare degli anni (e dopo diverse gestioni) ha iniziato ad assumere una valenza diversa. Francesco e Rosalia (gli attuali gestori in foto), hanno saputo conciliare capacità, esperienza e professionalità, offrendo un servizio molto più ricco ai clienti pur mantenendo inalterato il clima familiare che da sempre contraddistingue il locale.

La Storia dello Chef
Dino is geboren in de Zuid-Italiaanse streek Salento, waar veel gerechten van Il Fiore zijn oorsprong vinden. Als kind stond hij al met veel liefde in de keuken terwijl hij zijn moeder hielp bij het maken van verse pasta’s.
Toen Dino op zijn dertiende naar Maasmechelen verhuisde, werd hij de buurjongen van zijn toekomstige echtgenote Diana Pani. Diana, wiens familie afkomstig is uit het zonnige Sardinië, deelde zijn liefde voor pure ingrediënten en gerechten.
In de woorden van Dino: “Wij doen niet aan confusion cooking.” 26 jaar na hun trouwdag staan de jeugdliefdes nog altijd met dezelfde hartstocht in de keuken.
Hun warmte en gastvrijheid is binnen Maastricht ongeëvenaard en laat gasten even het gevoel van Zuid-Italië proeven. Dino en Diana zijn het hart van Il Fiore.
